Our Work
As our rescue has evolved, we have expanded into a full-fledged organization, with a strong focus on TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), caring for newborns, and providing low-income spay or neuter services to help reduce overpopulation. We are committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of animals, one rescue at a time.
Low cost spay and neuter
Having your pet spayed or neutered is an important decision. It can help with medical issues, behavior issues, and of course prevent unwanted pregnancies. But too often people forgo getting this important medical procedure for their cat because it is beyond their reach financially.
Our Story
At the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee, our mission is simple: to stand up for the most vulnerable animals in our community and ensure they get the second chance they deserve.
What started as 2 best friends and a small rescue on a big mission has grown into something extraordinary — a lifeline for abandoned animals, and overwhelmed pet owners across Vancouver Island. Through love, grit, and community support, we’ve rescued thousands of animals and provided thousands more with affordable, accessible veterinary care through our low-cost vet clinic Harbour Vet.
As we continue to grow, we’re building more than just a rescue — we’re creating a movement. One fueled by kindness, powered by volunteers, and determined to make lasting change. Thank you for being part of it.
