Or clinic was a success! We have invited the vet back in January. Please continue to apply so you can get on the list. Even if the next clinic fills up, if we can get enough support and fundraising we will continue to invite them back.!

We are so excited to announce our first every low cost spay and neuter clinic. We have a mobile vet coming to Victoria to help us with our cat and kitten overpopulation crisis. We are getting calls all the time for kittens being born outside or “oops” litters. Part of the solution is to spay and neuter but the cost barrier is high for some.

We are going to try this new clinic and the vet will be here in Victoria starting on Sunday, October 8th. To participate you need to meet the low income thresholds:

A few things to note:

1. This is for cats only.  We don’t have a program for dogs at this time.

2. The net cost to you is $100.  However, these surgeries are being funded by a The Itty Bitty Kitty Commitee as a gift to the community with the cost to us being well over this amount.  We are paying for the vet to come to town and do a clinic and we need to ensure that anyone using this service will be present for their appt.  As a result, in order to use the program, we require a deposit of $200 per cat by etransfer within 12 hours of accceptance.  We will return $100 to you in cash on the day of your cats surgery.

3. We are bringing in a mobile vet to do these surgeries.  As a result, if approved we will have a specific day for you to bring your pet.  We will not have flexibility to change your date since this vet and her mobile surgery trailer is coming from out town specifically to help with our spay and neuter crisis.

4. Each appt will sterilize your cat, provide them with a vaccine, pain management and a microchip (the microchip is optional and an additional cost).

5. There is no refund on the appts even if you are unable to attend.

6. By submitting an application you agree that the vet will terminate any pregnancy if your cat turns out to be pregnant.

7. By applying you agree that you will pay the $200 deposit ($100 to returned at your appt).  You also agree that the entire $200 is forfeited if you do not attend your appt to get your cat spayed or neutered.

If you want to apply, follow the link here. If you missed this opportunity we are hopeful to do this again in the future depending on finances.

I would love to have an adult/older black cat if they are available, or how can I apply for one?

Hi Lees, I rarely have adults since I focus mostly on babies. But a lot of other rescues have them. I would check out GVAC, Broken Promises, VPAS or Victoria Cat rescue corp to name a few….
